Last year, we profiled the $15,000 gingerbread house created by Dylan’s Candy Bar. For 2011 the posh retailer has put together some extravagant gifts and this time it’s a table-tennis table that’s caught our fancy.

The Numi toilet from Kohler has every feature you could ever want in a toilet and then some. Remote control operation and retractable bidet are just the beginning. Motion sensors at the floor-level react when you enter the room for hands-free opening and closing of the cover. Ambient lighting illuminates the toilet with a futuristic blue glow. Built-in speakers allow you to play a selection from the Numi toilet’s pre-programmed audio (can only imagine the play list), FM radio or to connect your MP3 player through the audio input jack in the remote docking station.

The Octopus Chair is the first piece from artist Maximo Riero’s Animal Chair Collection. The collection promises to pay homage to a diverse range of species, from mammals to reptiles, and even including insects. As Riero explains, “Each creation retains the animal’s natural vitality whilst being totally biological accurate in their appearance. It is an attempt to reflect and capture the beauty of nature in each living thing.”
For us, the slithery tentacles and inky black leather would make it the perfect spot for curling up with an H. P. Lovecraft novel or perhaps some Japanese erotica. More images after the jump.
