Final Four 2012 by Design: Team Uniforms, Logos, Mascots and More

Okay basketball fans, it’s down to the Final Four. This year, number one seed Kentucky meets number four seed Louisville, while number two seeds, Ohio St. and Kansas battle it out to see who will play in the tournament final on Monday, April 2nd. We’ve got the skinny on who is wearing what as far as uniform contracts go as well as mascot and logo information for the four remaining teams.
Kentucky

University of Kentucky
Conference: Southeastern
Team Colors: Blue and White
Mascots: Blue, Scratch, and The Wildcat
Uniform Contract: Nike

Louisville

University of Louisville
Conference: Big East
Team Colors: Red and Black
Mascot: Cardinal Bird
Uniform Contract: Adidas

Of the three teams (Louisville, Baylor and Cincinnati) sporting the much derided neon/animal print Adidas uniforms, the Louisville Cardinals are the only ones to make it to the Final Four this year.

Ohio State

Ohio State
Conference: Big Ten
Team Colors: Scarlet and Gray
Mascot: Brutus Buckeye
Uniform Contract: Nike
Brutus Buckeye, the mascot of the Ohio State University is named after Ohio’s state tree, the buckeye.

Kansas

Kansas University
Conference: Big 12 Conference
Team Colors: Blue and Crimson
Mascot: Big Jay and Baby Jay
Uniform Contract: Adidas
