LEGO Mid-Century Modern Design Contest by Dwell

Want to take your mad LEGO building skills to the next level? Looking to out your inner architect? Dwell has joined forces with Pacific Standard Time to challenge the next Joseph Eichler or Charles Eames to construct a model of an original home inspired by iconic California mid-century modern architecture. Your building material? LEGO bricks. Looking for inspiration like the amazing replica pictured above of the Charles and Ray Eames Case Study House #8, situated in the Pacific Palisades in Southern California built from 1945 to 1949. That model was created by Stacy Sterling you can see more of her amazing creations here.
You have until March 29th to submit. On March 31st Dwell will post entries for live voting and it’s up to you, the design community, to select the 5 finalists for display at this year’s Dwell on Design, June 22-24. A panel of judges will choose the grand prize winner live from the show floor. The winner will also receive $250, an Ice Cube/Eames poster, and some serious LEGO based Architectural bragging rights.
