Looking for the best places to eating green – St. Patrick’s Day style? We’ve got the list of all the lucky food promotions available to the Irish and Irish at heart this holiday season. From donuts to fries and all the green themed goodies in between, check out our list of top o’ the morning tasties available this year.
In celebration of this weekend’s St. Patrick’s Day holiday, Dunkin’ Donuts is offering two themed donuts through the end of March. Pictured is the Green Shamrock Donut, a yeast ring garnished with green icing and festive shamrock-shaped sprinkles. Also available is the Lucky Mint Donut, a glazed chocolate cake donut topped with chocolate icing and mint bark topping. Both donuts are available at participating locations nationwide.
Shake Shack has a special St Patrick’s Day menu with 2 themed items on the menu: When Irish Fries Are Smiling– crinkle cut fries topped with horseradish sour cream, crispy smoked bacon & scallions and the ShackMeister Ale Float – pint of Shack beer topped off with a scoop of vanilla custard. You have to act now these treats are only available today (3/16) through Sunday (3/18).
So maybe it’s not the most original St. Patrick’s day themed offering, but it is delicious. In honor of St. Patrick’s day, Dairy Queen has deemed the special edition Mint OREO Blizzard it’s the Blizzard of the Month. The minty sweet treat is made of OREO cookies pieces crumbled and tumbled with cool mint and creamy vanilla soft serve.
McDonald’s Shamrock Shake
No St. Patrick’s Day food list would be complete with out a mention of the legendary Shamrock Shake. For the first time ever, McDonald’s minty green milkshake will be available in all 14,000 U.S. restaurants and in Ireland. The fast food classic is available until March 25th.
Burger King gets in on the fast food St. Patrick’s Day frenzy by offering green ketchup and free fries this weekend. The value sized fries are served in a shamrock embellished paper cone and the green condiment comes courtesy of Heinz ketchup – one per customer while supplies last.
Once again, Bruegger’s is baking green bagels in honor of Patrick’s Day. It’s their seventh annual Green Bagel event, and hey are sharing a pot o’ gold with Feed The Children’s Haiti relief efforts. Proceeds from green bagel sales will benefit Feed The Children, a nonprofit relief organization that delivers food, medicine, clothing and other necessities to individuals, children and families in need. The bagels are available March 16th -17th.
This Saturday only, International House of Pancakes (IHOP) will be serving a a special St. Patrick’s Day Green Eggs Combo, to mark the holiday. The dish will include green eggs (two eggs scrambled with creamed spinach), two buttermilk pancakes, and a choice of two bacon strips or two pork sausage.
Carvel works some green magic with its limited ice cream cake pan options. Cookie O’ Puss, the lucky cousin of Cookie Puss is layers of vanilla and chocolate ice cream separated by a layer of chocolate crunchies. All topped with a scoop of pistachio ice cream in a sugar cone, two chocolate chip cookies, white icing, Flying Saucer cookie and shredded coconut.
