From tree trimming to table settings, the holiday season kicks design elements into high gear.  We’ve combed the web to find the best holiday inspired designs of the season. Whether it’s kitschy trees to do it yourself ornaments, these top seasonal designs offer creative inspiration or at the very least, put a smile on your face.

7. Best Holiday Tablescape Design

Sure, we all enjoy poking fun at Semi-homemade’s Sandra Lee goofy manner and inexplicable need to dress like her decor, but we have to hand it to the hostess guru, she really goes all in when it comes to decorating. This holiday season her White Christmas themed table decor really wowed us and placed her at the top spot for best holiday tablescape.

6. Best Handmade Christmas Stocking Design

While there are tons of handmade stockings to choose from over at handcraft haven Etsy, this series of elf inspired stockings by Heather of  Wilmington, North Carolina really caught our fancy.  Handmade with drapery fabric and trim, the whimsical hearth hangers are lined with soft fuzzy fabric  and sport a curled toe tipped with a jingle bell. Any combination of colors are available by request. Set of four $130.

5. Best Over-the-Top Christmas Tree Design

It’s a tie!  Now that Treetopia is offering both a candy cane  and candy corn themed tree we just couldn’t decide which sweet inspired tannenbaum is the most over-the-top design. While the I Want Candy Cane Tree has been available for years, this is the rookie season for everyone’s least favorite corn syrupy treat, the Colossal Candy Corn Tree. We think they both have delicious, kitschy appeal. The trees, along with other funky styles including I’m Just A Rainbow and the Zebra Tree  are available for purchase at Treetopia.com.

4. Best Contemporary Menorah Design

Last year one of Nambe’s gorgeous eight metal alloy creations made our list of 50 Unique Menorahs to light up Hanukkah. This year a different Nambe design, the Twist Menorah tops our list of best contemporary menorah design. Neiman Marcus is offering both holiday pieces for those looking to add modern expression to an ancient custom.
