It’s been nearly half a century since Captain Kirk and crew ventured “to boldy go where no man has gone before” and Star Trek fans continue to be enraptured with the adventure.  Our friends over at Space.com have put together a visually arresting infographic that highlights the interstellar happenings since the series debuted in 1966.

Created by Gene Roddenberry, the Star Trek legacy boasts six television series: The Original Series, The Animated Series, The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager, and Enterprise and eleven feature films: Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, Star Trek V: The Final Frontier, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, Star Trek Generations, Star Trek: First Contact, Star Trek: Insurrection, Star Trek Nemesis and Star Trek.  The twelfth installment helmed by J.J. Abrams is in the works and due to be released in 2012 or 2013.
