Spoonful of Star Wars at DesignerCon 2010

This year’s DesignerCon will offer a one day treat for Star Wars geeks in the form of Spoonful of Star Wars. Featuring over 100 original paintings by artist Bwana Spoons these reimagined portraits of vintage Star Wars action figures are done in the artist’s signature style. Spoons was commissioned to reinterpret each vintage Kenner Star Wars action figure from the original line 1977-1985 in what the artist calls, “an awesome dream project.”
The show will be on display for one day only at DesignerCon, the art and design convention that smashes together collectible toys and designer apparel with urban, underground and pop art. Spoonful of Star Wars is produced by DKE Toys and is from the collection of Dov Kelemer & Sarah Jo Marks. Dov and Sarah Jo have produced several art shows together including; The Vader Project, STUFFED, a plush food show and The Custom Yoka Show.
