Ah the glamor of the jet-age. If you ever wanted to recreate the inflight meal experience on land, Bordbar has the ideal product for you. The German based design firm rehabilitates vintage airplane trolleys and transform them into multifunctional objet d’art.
The globetrotting carts are purchased from all over the world. Each model is painstakingly dismantled and then reassembled manually at the Bordbar facilities in Cologne. Processed with high quality materials such as stainless steel and aluminum and created to weather thousand of airline line miles, turbulence and surly air hostess abuse, the trolleys are virtually indestructible. These recycled and recyclable carts are a paradigm of sustainability chic.
Interiors can be custom tailored for a variety of uses. I’m not sure I’d like it to use it as a filing cabinet, a shoe cabinet or a minibar. I am sure, if I owned one, I would delight in bumping unsuspecting house guests from behind and blocking the entrance of the powder room with my glamorous multi-functional Bordbar.
