Tension Bowl By Frank Cresencia

The last thing I need in my life is more tension, so I was a little worried when confronted with the Tension Bowl. Luckily it’s not that kind of tension associated with designer Frank Cresencia’s creative product.
The charm of the bowl, dressed up in a curly walnut veneer, is in its assembly. The two modules hold their form in the same way a cardboard box stays closed. The overlapping tabs create a circular motion around the bowl, following the grain of the walnut; each module is dependent on the other. Simple, enjoyable… no tension. [via id]
