A self check-in hotel located in Münchendorf, Austria (near the city border of Vienna), the Hotel Caldor emerges simply, but spectacularly along the road. The building design is highlighted by the perforation of the facade, which not only provides shade inside the hotel but also plays with the hotel logo – in an abstract manner.
Austria-based Söhne & Partner designed the exciting Hotel Caldor; a single room is sized at 10 square meters, double rooms 14. The combination of colors and the use of a glass wall for separation between the room and the bathroom has created rooms which doesn’t feel small, even though they are. [via coolboom]
