Dolce & Gabbana Headquarters By Studio Piuarch

No surprise here. The new headquarters for luxury fashion house Dolce & Gabbana in Milan, Italy is the epitome of style and modern design. Milan-based architectural studio Piuarch designed the new D&G digs, an uncluttered stir of classic and contemporary construction elements that enclose the showrooms for the fashion collections, the offices, a restaurant and a number of spaces for events – with a total surface of 5.000 square meters.

The two buildings, one from the 1920’s and the other the 1960’s, face three streets, covering 5 floors and 2 basements. The Piuarch blueprint incorporated natural materials such as white namibic stone, glass and crude steel sheets. The facades of the building housing the showrooms are entirely glazed and feature a series of vertical, closely spaced louvers of opal glass. [via +Mood]
