bibliofile Bibliofile, the E Reader With a Page Turning Hinge

In terms of actual products, there’s a lot to look forward e-reader market, but even touch screens, which haven’t made it onto the average device, don’t provide the tactile pleasure of a real book. Nadeem Haidary’s Bibliofile tries to mimic that feeling with a hinge that you bend up or down to turn the digital pages. Otherwise, it’s a slick-looking device with a thin profile, but it’s lacking in other “wow” features that you’d expect from a design. The biggest issue is that Haidary dreamed up the Bibliofile to address problems with reading on the computer — difficulty on the eyes, lack of portability and inability to mark texts — but those shortcomings have been overcome by existing e-readers on the market. Still loving that hinge, though. [Nadeem Haidary via Yanko Design]
