Separation Creek Home By Jackson Clements Burrows
By Joe Wertz
With cantilevered elements that branch out like a tree, this single-family home in Victoria, Australia, was designed by Melbourne’s Jackson Clements Burrows Architects to offer the most ocean views possible. Built on a hill between a wooded area and the beach, the trunk of the home starts with a bedroom, laundry room and playroom on the first floor. A climb to the second level reveals the master bedroom, kitchen, living room, studio and a large cantilevered deck. The exterior of the home has color cues taken from area foliage, which clad the façade in 1950s-style block panels. [via platformaarquitectura pics by john gollings]
