Hidemax Cycle Brings Odd, Unnecessary Bike Tweaks
By Chris Weiss
Here’s a design that will certainly never leave the paper upon which it looks so nice on. While the bike is a captivating little piece of metal, the frame tweaks that it endures are a great example of solving problems that don’t exist. In an effort to address basic bike characteristics such as performance, speed and function, designer Servet Yuksel has introduced adjustable handlebar height but discarded adjustable seat height. It’s not clear if adjusting the handlebar height is meant to work in the same way as the seat height, but clearly it wouldn’t. Another piece of the design is the rounded rear end with dual shock absorbers–shock absorbers that are going to have a very difficult time moving a millimeter since there appears to be no pivot point for the wheel to move on. Looks nice, but I don’t think it would be a very comfortable ride. [via Yanko]
