Helio DAB Radio Concept is Solar-Powered and Pretty

This Helio DAB radio concept by Léa Longis is quite reminscent of those mini juke boxes that used to be available in booths at diners and restaurants. However, the panels inside don’t hold any artist information; they’re Graetzel solar panels. The panels capture sunlight to provide all the energy for the radio and also add a unique look for viewers to admire. The design is supposed to bring the all-but-forgotten device known as radio back as an aesthetic focal point of entertainment. We think it succeeds quite nicely. [via Tuvie]
