A living Amsterdam antique filled with skulls, all manner of dead and preserved beasts and other such strange displays, the results of this renovated loft project are slightly creepy and completely cool. Occupying a warehouse built in 1938 near one of the city’s historic canals, a team at UXUS Design left the original floor plan open and divided the 820-square-foot home with curtain walls that are easily strewn open or cinched tight to reflect the mood of its eclectic owners. UXUS left the brick exposed and painted the walls a cool white to contrast the warehouse’s original wood beams, pillars and floor, as well as the owners’ antique furniture and curious décor.
