South Korean Island House Combines Mountain And Sea

Atop a jagged, irregular landmass surrounded by water the Island House was forced to cooperate with nature’s form. Seoul’s IROJE KHM Architects designed the Gyeounggi-do, South Korea, home to float like an “architectural mountain” with a polygonal outline formed by shaped concrete and metal mesh. The stepped, green roof gardens end at the bedrooms and descend to protect an interior courtyard filled with a swimming pool and more gardens [via archdaily]
