Embrace Seats Combine to Create Storage
By Jared Newman
Locking together like old friends, Embrace’s dual components form a single bench, with storage underneath for books and DVDs. The two wings on either side are ideal for holding newspapers and magazines. When the need for more seating arises, just slide out the hanging component, and it’s just as stable as its counterpart. Embrace is constructed of laminated plywood, veneered and then bonded together to give the bench its graceful curved shape. In addition to the cherry veneered finish seen here, the three-in-one seating is also available in oak, walnut and white laminate, selling for £249 through SnowHome. The only thing missing is a surface big enough for two people to sit and, well, embrace. [John Green Designs via The Design Blog]
