EMIL Experience Outdoors GPS Compass
By Chris Weiss
It’s called EMIL Experience Outdoors and it’s dubbed a “GPS compass”. Beyond that I’m nothing short of baffled by this concept designed by Andrea Schoellgen. It looks like a rather large, burly compass. Over at Yanko, they claim that it will help you “form and execute treasure hunts, biking routes and expeditions.” All that sounds a lot like geocaching and traditional navigation via compass or GPS. I really don’t know if EMIL brings anything new to the table outside of undue weight in your backpack, but the more I think about it, the more I doubt it. However, if you’ve been seeking a giant, round “GPS Compass” slapped onto a giant piece of rope, your ship has arrived. Take a closer look in the gallery to see if you can discern an actual purpose for this baby. [via Yanko]
