Over the weekend, San Francisco’s Swarm Gallery held an art show with some interesting takes on the environment and man’s interaction with it. Rather than tackle the message head-on, artists tried some more abstract concepts, such as the head-in-a-box-of-plants installation by Seattle-based Vaughn Bell. After all, city life can take you away from the lush greenery that’s so plentiful in suburban and rural areas, so why not have a tiny space where you can be surrounded by all things natural? Other works include paintings by Josh Keyes, including one image of a deer, with various other animals perched on top, standing in an aquarium with a fire hydrant. If you can’t picture it, follow the jump for more images. [via Inhabitat]
