O2 Molecular Concept Phone Throws Function Out the Window

One can imagine the conversation that led to this concept phone for O2: The company approaches Tjep Design, and asks for a phone concept based on the idea of molecules. The catch is, the phone has to be as functionally worthless as possible. Sure, it’s cute, with the little interconnected globes representing each number, but using it would be a disaster. There’s no grip, there appear to be no features of interest, and you’d probably have to replace the entire thing after one accidental drop. Yes, O2, we get the molecule thing, but as long as we’re dreaming, why not conceptualize a phone constructed entirely out of hot air? [via Yanko Design]
