seedbottle Seeds in the Bottle Provides a New Option for Recycling

Designer Yun Hwan Sung has brought us an interesting twist on recycling. Despite the fact that plastic bottles are relatively easy to recycle, all too many end up in landfills. Rather than throwing the bottle in dirt, Sung has thrown the dirt in the bottle with the “Seeds in the Bottle” concept. After drinking down to the last drop of crisp, clean H2O, simply tip the bottle upside down, open up the integrated herb seed packet , fill it up with soil and harvest your own little herb garden. Clearly, it’s a far more beneficial solution than dumping your bottle into the trash bin when no one’s looking.  Of course, the problem with people throwing away plastic bottles largely stems from human laziness, so tacking a bunch of gardening work onto the bottle likely won’t put a dent into the greater problem, but it certainly is an interesting concept.
