Redmond Street Houses Designed With Separate Symmetry
By Joe Wertz
The pavilion-inspired Redmond Street Houses are actually two residences nestled together in symmetry. Built overlooking the Yarra River and Studley Park in a Melbourne suburb, architects at Australia’s Bojan Simic designed parallel spaces for parents and children separated by frameless glass corridors. The home’s skillion roof and curved timber screen reflects the sun, passively insulating the home and provides a break from the edgy, geometric lines of the home’s exterior. [via contemporist]
