Sandy Bay Farm House Twists With Tutukaka Coast

New Zealand’s Tutukaka Coast is known for rolling hills that heave and cascade into the Pacific Ocean and the serene Poor Knights Archipelago. The Sandy Bay Farm House is situated on a cattle farm high located on a high ridge overlooking a sine wave waterfront valley. Auckland architects at Fearon Hay designed the home with simple lines that twist to follow the Tutukaka’s twisting topology. The vacation home’s primary living space is built on an elevated concrete pad, which along with a glazed screen, helps shelter an outdoor courtyard. [via archdaily]
