2009 Serpentine Gallery Pavilion in London’s Hyde Park

Only a blueprint in March 2009, the 2009 Serpentine Gallery Pavilion by Japanese duo Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa of SANAA, opened in London’s Hyde Park last week. The temporary structures feature an undulating aluminum canopy that not only creates a series of connected spaces but also reflects the beauty of the surrounding park. Blending perfectly with the natural environment, the whole structure puts up an amazing show by changing appearance according to the weather. The Serpentine Pavilion will remain open for three more months so if you’re around in London make sure you don’t miss it out. [via 2Modern]
