Low Budget Prefab Home: Casa Pentimento in Ecuador
By AlexIon
Casa Pentimento is a low budget prefab home in Quinto, Ecuador. Designed by Jose Maria Sáez and David Barragán, the elegant main structure is built from a set of specially shaped modular concrete pieces that are stacked one over another. Mixing form with function, the design not only provides shade and allows air flow to go through, it also maintains the feel of separation between indoors and outdoors in a very stylish way. Capable of being constructed in four different ways depending on your needs, the Pentimento House comes in as a great mix of light, nature, temperate climate and available materials. Definitely a place we’d consider for a weekend retreat with friends and family. [via Inhabitat]
