Mark Andrew Webber is a young graphic designer from Reading, England, whose art is rubber stamp illustrations, linocut prints, lino carved animation and the actual lino carving itself. Webber has started a stunning project in 2006, the “where in the world city map series”. Much like the Lea Ceramiche tiles for floors and walls, after London, New York and Amsterdam, his latest work is the Paris map. He found his inspiration in 2007 after visiting the city to study the French typography for his college dissertation paper. The linocut alone took him two months of daily work and the carving another four days, but the end result is nothing short of breathtaking. [via DesignYourTrust]
