With most calendars, people tick off the days with a couple strokes of the pen. The Ink Calendar, on the other hand, counts automatically with a slow flow of ink that precisely counts each day. A jar of ink, with the month marked on it, is placed on a special piece of paper with the day numbers embossed in one continuous line. Slowly, the ink spreads until the month is over. I can only imagine the amount of trial and error that went into getting this right. Oscar Diaz’s take on the calendar is showing at the Circulo de Bellas Artes in Madrid. [Dezeen via Geeky Gadgets]
