Changing the Car Business: Mike and Maaike introduce the ATNMBL (Autonomobile)

Today’s car business is sick, or at least that’s what SF industrial design firm Mike and Maaike thinks about the car culture that lately.  According to the design team, the modern automobile has been obssessed with power, styling and fantasy. Far away from our true needs, future cars should be redefined by shifting from being fast and gorgeous, to being … green and self driven. So no more Frazer-Nash Namirs, Zonda Cinque Roadsters or Lamborghini Gallardos, it’s time to meet the ATNMBL.

The solar electric Autonomobile looks like a mobile living room that you whistle for and it takes you to destination. Even though it’s not meant to see daylight before 2040, we appreciate the futuristic approach, but since many of us DO like the “daily monotonous act of driving” we’d much rather stay with today’s supercars.
