Linked Hybrid Complex by Steven Holl Architects

About four years ago the designers at Steven Holl Architects came together to conceive the Linked Hybrid Complex in Beijing. This complex features eight inter-connected towers which comprise Linked Hybrid, cover 6.18 hectares of land adjacent to the old city wall and house one of the largest geothermal cooling and heating systems in the world. Beyond the green facts, the unusual design stuns with its ring of skybridges that each hold different public functions. The result is a “city withing a city” concept that has some 750 apartments, recreation facilities, a hotel and a school– making the Linked Hybrid Complex a great community destination for Beijing’s young families.
