Gallery Owner’s Concrete Holiday Home In Switzerland
By Joe Wertz
To bridge the chasm between a historic Swiss village and the modern mindset of an acclaimed art gallery owner, Zurich architects Gabrielle Hächler and Andreas Fuhrimann designed a concrete holiday home that’s contemporary without being overtly ostentatious. Dimensionally similar to neighboring buildings, the home makes use of concrete formed in a way that resembles stone. Inside, the sculptural home sparse, with plywood paneling and windows that mimic the area’s traditional Engaidine architecture. [via momoy]
