Break’s Over, It’s Time To Set The Alice Table
By Joe Wertz
For his Alice furniture concept, designer Lucas Saule reworked the idea of taking a break by creating a table system that changes throughout the day. The table makes one revolution every 12 hours, reconfiguring each of its tabletop petals to a unique position. When the user takes a break from the day to use the table, the table can be repositioned to a comfortable arrangement while a pair of sections continues to rotate, visually marking the passing time. When the user wants to re-enter their daily grind timeline, a simple lift on a section resets the table, putting it back into its 12-hour movements. [via momoy]
