Recreational Reef Benches by Remy & Veenhuizen
By AlexIon
Dutch designers Tejo Remy and Rene Veenhuizen have created a hilly landscape of wood on the roof of the Picasso lyceum in Zoetermeer. These stylized dunes look like living skeletons, but are in fact urban benches where students can sit, lie down, hang out, eat or study. The reef benches have been created using a special technique that allows the slats to move slowly but still keep the solidity of the structure. They look perfect for a lunch study break, don’t you think? [via DailyTonic]
