Photos For The Board: Barcelona Photog Felipe Vaiano

Sports photographer Felipe Vaiano travels the globe, his lens never missing a second of speed, whether it comes cornering through an Argentinean rally race, melting through a turn at the Grand Prix or atop a board barreling down slopes or ramps. The Barcelona-based photographer’s series of skateboarding photos captures flips and tricks kicked from 2007 to 2009 on the streets and skateparks of least three countries. With on and off-camera flash, Vaiano’s camera captures the silhouettes and shadows of skaters putting in work at night, while his day shots bring viewers in close, where gravel, sweat and wheels meet the expressive faces and poses of top-tier skaters mid-trick.
