I too fell in love with his style in high school. I went to one of his exhibits in my late teens and he has been my favorite architect since. I prefer his mid century modern style of open spaces, built ins and massive windows. Yes my family would fit nicely....if only I were independently wealthy! sigh....

I was a youing man in high school when I first heard the name Frank Lloyd Wright. I looked further into his designs, and my opinion he was then and is now the best. His strong suit was his ability to capture he owners taste, and go forward...

Falling Water feels cave-like inside with all of the stone but I admired the cantilevers & I decided to build my own home that looks like Falling Water except with 10 feet high ceilings. Everyone loves homes that are exiting, pleasing to the eye and totally different from the norm.Wright homes makes other homes look boring.

Falling Water has to be the most beautiful of his houses. Not just the setting but the interior also puts it above the others.

It's not a house, but the FLW building I'd personally most like to have complete use of would have to be Unity Temple in Oak Park, IL.

I have to say I don't really like any of them, though I voted for the Millard House. It's the least Arts & Crafts, the least craft-y, the least hobbity. Wright was probably a genius with space and light, and it's great that he tried to leave behind the dark Victorian styles of his day, but somehow I find his houses equally heavy. All those obsessive, skinny horizontal rectangles, the fussy stained glass... it's a very particular aesthetic. He talks about local landscape but to me all these styles, and you can include the Stickley-style furniture in this, look particularly English.

For me it would be Gertz Bridge Cottage because it is in Michigan. I know and love the area so much that it would have to be my choice. If they asked "most beautiful" then I'd have to come up with another answer.
