Claremont Home: Similar Substance, Individual Aesthetic

The most interesting thing about standing in front of the Claremont Home is that you can see the house behind it. Using brick, limestone, steel and other traditional materials, Brininstool + Lynch Architects made sure the Chicago home was atypical in its design. Through glass walls on either side of the house, the front yard floats into the backyard through the three-story structure. The ground floor hosts a family room and guest room, while the stainless steel kitchen is served on the first floor.  Through a stairway shaft the home’s family of four ascends into a third-floor bedroom level.
