The Vienna Way Residence in Venice, CA

A few weeks ago, we showed a collection of the homes of famous architects– and it’s a shame we hadn’t seen the Vienna Way Residence yet… Designed by Marmol Radziner for none other than himself, the Vienna Way Residence is perched on a heavily vegetated lot in Venice, California.  The house has been sliced lengthwise into thirds with a one-story wing along the south edge and a two-story wing along its north side.  The home is styled with wooden furnishings, sharp concrete edges and boundaries that provide a dark-yet-natural appeal that blends well with its environment.  It should be no surprised that we’re impressed by Radziner’s work, his name is among the best in the world of archtiecture today.
