This Beach Home Is Oh-’K’

Apr 07, 2009 - By Joe Wertz

K House

The K House was built as a dynamic  beach getaway for a family who wanted the best views of the ocean. The family, whose name starts with ‘K,’ tapped Melbourne, Australia architects Ashton Raggatt McDougall to design the home around them — literally. Built around a ‘K’-shaped floor plan that was rotated for the best views, the gray beach home has a soundproof home theater, room for the owners’ 5,000-book collection and bright red, floor-to-ceiling ‘K’-shaped shelves. Check it out, K? [via digsdigs]
