Mercabarna-Flor, Barcelona’s Colorful Flower Market

Although flowers are not really a guy’s thing unless it’s her birthday, the famous flower market in Barcelona is easy for any critical eye to appreciate. Inspired by nature and designed by Willy Muller Architects, the colorful rainbow was meant to replicate the aerial view of vast flower fields when in full bloom. Located close to the airport, the new wholesale flower market features 15,000 square-meters of buildings that house three separate sections dedicated to flowers, plants and accessories.
