Skyline Residence Above And Beyond Hollywood Hills

High above the Hollywood Hills is a home built to use the California sun and wind for lighting, heating and cooling. The Skyline Residence, designed by Belzberg Architects, is arranged to collect as much natural sunlight as possible. An open interior corridor acts as a heat buffer between bedrooms, and when doors on either side of the long house are opened, allow a venting airstream to pass by each room. Visitors are entertained on an above-garage deck, and one end of the guesthouse serves as an outdoor movie theater among the stars. [via contemporist]
