The colorful vision of three young Brazilian men, Club Vox was built on a corner lot on a bustling avenue in Recife. Two of the owners are acclaimed club DJs, so entertainment is the focus of the steel-enclosed nightclub, which is split into two spaces: a dance floor and a quieter lounge with a terrace that has a view of the open sky. Designers at Metro Arcquitectura created glowing glass that surrounds the club’s exterior with an ever-changing aura of light that highlights curving lines that contrast with ragged, industrial corners and edges. Inside, a transparent membrane matrix surrounds visitors with a computer-controlled custom LED light show that changes colors and textures. The DJ and performer booth sits in a corner, hovering over the huge dance floor. Nearby VIP booths are raised nearby to put guests at the center of the party [via contemporist]
